Alex is studying the regulation of steroid hormones in autism. He is particularly interested in the relative effects of testosterone and estrogens during embryonic and pubertal development and in the overall health of people with autism. His other research interests include Evolutionary Neuroscience and Translational Medicine.  Prior to his PhD, Alex studied Medicine in the University of Athens.  He has also completed an MSc in Human Molecular Genetics at Imperial College London, and has worked as a junior doctor at the Neurosciences Ward of the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
