Arko Paul Arko is studying sex steroid physiology in the autistic brain using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC). In the latter he is modelling neuronal development and gene expression in the autistic brain, with a particular interest in neuroelectrophysiology and the excitation-inhibition ratio. Prior to coming to Cambridge he was Junior Research Fellow at the National Brain Research Centre in India, in the Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging Laboratory, Computational Neuroscience Division. He was also a Research Assistant in the Signal Transduction and Gene Regulation Laboratory, Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience Division, in the National Brain Research Centre, India. He holds an MSc in Biochemistry and a BSc in Mathematics, Biochemistry and Zoology from the University of Calcutta.
