The Thames Path Challenge follows England's greatest river, heading upstream from Putney Bridge past Hampton Court to Runnymede of Magna Carta fame, then on past wonderful scenery all the way to Henley.

In 2016, after a punchy 12 hours and 45 minutes, Shankar was ranked in 34th place out of 839 runners in this 100km ultrachallenge, and raised £2,300.
